Dr. Michelina Fato was born in Italy and immigrated to the United States at the age of 6.  She is fluent in Italian.   She has spent most of her life in the Pittsburgh area and considers Pittsburgh her home.

 

She graduated from Chatham College Magna Cum Laude with Honors in 1981.  Dr. Fato went on to graduate from the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine in 1986. She completed her residency training in Internal Medicine at UPMC in 1989. She has taken care of patients and held various academic positions and appointments over the past 30 years. Dr. Fato founded Medico in 2006, the first concierge medicine practice of its kind in the Pittsburgh region. 

Dr. Fato is board certified in Internal Medicine and has added qualifications in both Adolescent Medicine and Geriatric Medicine.

 

Ms. Mia Hallett Bernard is a graduate of Colgate University where she earned a B.A. in history.  She has 15 years experience in corporate foundation management with the PNC Foundation as well as experience with small business administration.  She is currently the co-chair of the Women and Girls Foundation of Southwestern Pennsylvania and has served on several non-profit boards focused on community service in the Pittsburgh region.
